2016 California Building Codes and Standards

The plan submittal requirements for the new 2016 California Building Codes and Standards will be based on the date of application and day the plan check deposit is receipted by the City. Any application that is submitted on or after January 1, 2017, will be reviewed under the 2016 California Building Codes and Standards. Any project that has expired due to inactivity of more than 180 days shall be required to show compliance with the 2016 California Building Codes. California Building Standards Commission adopted and approved the 2016 California Building Standards Code, California Code of Regulations, and Title 24. They have been published and are available with an effective date of January 1, 2017.
