Public Works oversees the city’s infrastructure -- streets, sidewalks, storm drains, street lights, traffic signals, traffic management -- and coordinates capital improvements planning and construction. The department also reviews development projects, provides code enforcement services and administers trash hauling and recycling programs.

Stormwater QualityThe City of Wildomar is required to comply with a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit by the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board. This MS4 Permit places pollution prevention requirements on planned developments, construction sites, commercial and industrial businesses, municipal facilities and activities, and residential activities. Even though the City is split by two watersheds (Santa Ana and Santa Margarita), the entire City is governed by the MS4 Permit for the Santa Margarita region. Property on the east side of I-15 is served by Waste Management of the Inland Empire (800-423-9986) and the area west of the freeway is handled by CR&R (800-755-8112).
